Preliminary Task Storyboard Comparison Analysis

Location was important for this first shot. We needed a relatively long corridor with a door at the end of it in order to meet our desires and match our storyboard. Thankfully we found just that, and even more thankfully the room at the end was available to film in.

Recording this in one take proved to be more difficult than we imagined and it took us several attempts before we were happy with the outcome. It ended up not quite being shot for shot but the storyboard really helped us to get an idea of how it should look.

This is a shot that we are particularly fond of and we couldn't have hoped for more with the way it turned out. Not only does it match the storyboard perfectly but it is a great shot in its own right.

Due to the layout of the classroom not every shot could be perfect, this tracking shot had to be altered slightly.

Ultimately though we were thoroughly pleased with the result and will take into consideration the problems we had with this task when filming our thriller opening. For example, when drawing up the storyboard we could plan out the locations first rather than drawing them and hoping there is something similar.
