DBS Shot Review

Deep Blue Sea (1999) is an Action, Sci-Fi and Thriller film.

It is about a group of scientists looking for a cure for Alzheimer's disease through isolated research facility but these vicious sharks attack the scientists. The film, directed by Renny Harlin, has been edited well and shown great effects.

Samuel L. Jackson Dies Scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMwmqp3GLMc

This scene in particular, is brilliant (not because he died but how the scene has been shown). As it slowly zooms into Samuel L. Jackson (character name: Russell Franklin), the music first starts off gentle and pacific. However, when it shows a close up to extreme close up on him, the music gets tense, the audience panic and immediately know something’s going to happen. When the shark suddenly appears on screen, it will give a huge shock to the audience and then get relieved. It just shows with great shots and sound, you can see a great reaction from the audience.
